End of Season Awards 2025-2026
We recently hosted our 2025-2026 Awards Night at 2Funky in Leicester, where we were able to reflect on and celebrate the many achievements of the club and its members this season.
This season was a strong one for the club and its teams, and it was great to be able to look back and recognise standout contributions across the groups.
Senior Awards:
Players’ Player: Tommy Greasley
Academy graduate Tommy was a real standout this season, contributing goals and assists in big moments while also dominating all over the court. Some pretty ridiculous moments, including our Goal of the Season (a ridiculous side winder volley against Rochdale at home)!
Really impressive stuff for a player making his senior debut this season, and he didn't look fazed at all when faced with more experienced competition.
Manager’s Player: Josh Brodella
Josh returned to futsal this year after a few years away playing football, and made such an impact with his technical quality, work rate, and enthusiasm both on and off court.
So talented 1v1 on both sides of the ball, and his off-ball work improved exponentially as the season progressed. His consistency across the second half of the season was such a large part of our success, and his contribution to the team is undeniable.
Looking forward to seeing how Josh kicks on in 2026/27!
Top Goalscorer: Josh Brodella (24 goals)
A close race this season between Josh and Tommy, but Josh pipped it during the playoff final with a really impressive goalscoring performance. After a slow start to the season goalscoring wise, Josh was unstoppable once we reached Tier 3.1. A real mix of goals scored: excellent individual efforts, transition goals, and finishing off good team goals as well. Once he found the net, he never lost it again.
Most Improved Player: Tommy Greasley
Coach Jamie is extremely passionate about the Most Improved award, as it’s a really good indicator of future success and long term trajectory. Gone are the days of where the worst player gets this as a wooden spoon.
Tommy’s development as a player throughout 2025/26 has been massive, especially considering his high starting point (debut hat trick vs MK Mavericks B back in September). He’s added many new strings to his bow, improved his existing skills, and added a real understanding and maturity to his game as well.
For Tommy to win both Players’ Player and Most Improved is such an impressive achievement, and a real testament to his hard work throughout the season. A great example and role model despite his tender age.
Clubman Award: Harroun Madouni
The Clubman Award is for the player that best represents the values of the club both on and off the court, has shown passion and dedication throughout the season, and has contributed to a positive club culture. This award is usually voted for by all club members (including committee) but we left it to the players this season.
Harroun has given so much for the club this season and is a deserving winner of this award. So dependable both on and off the court: always there to support his teammates in any way.
A real success story for our partnership with De Montfort University futsal, where he was first team captain for three seasons.
Congratulations to all of our individual award winners on great seasons. Everybody has contributed to our men’s season, but it’s important to recognise standouts, especially those recognised by their teammates!
We look onward to next season (whatever that may look like) and will enjoy a well deserved break until we return for preseason in August.
1… 2… 3… Leicester!
